Cuttings production :
Cuttings are the first step in the growth and cultivation for
differents species, show the true characteristics of mother plant.

They are mainly used by :
- Nurseries,growers but also garden centers who want to produce their own differents types
of plants, in order to keep lower costs by submitting a quality product at a competitive
price.
- Producers who supply others companies and plan their production cycle each year based to
the demand received.
- Gardeners who create in their company a stock of most used plants (for hedge, cover soil
etc.), where they can supply in view of future accomplishments.

The cuttings are rooted some in
trays where the number of plants in it is decided only from developping variety. For that
reason we can have trays from min. 33 cuttings to max. 104 cuttings. Variety more
susceptible to transplant are rooted in peat pellets. |

Some varieties such as Prunus laurocerasus
Rotundifolia shown here, commonly known as laurel, can be plant in open field. This is due
to the strong root system combined with the vigor of the species. It only need special
care during the first year, on keeping the land clean of weed season. |
